Mt. Tipolog, the Lost Volcano
The lost volcano, as dubbed by some, Mt. Tipolog is one of the best hiking spots for new mountaineers. It stands at 1,340 masl and is just an hour away from Davao City downtown, specifically located at Sitio Kaunlaran, Brgy Tawan-Tawan, Baguio District.
From jump-off, it will be a roughly 3-4 hours hike to Mt. Tipolog summit. The trail is easy as it is composed of 90% flat terrain, and 10% uphill. Though, leeches are present everywhere so make sure to cover those legs if you don't want them to suck the blood out of you.
Halfway on the trail, you will pass by Pulang Lupa. Here you will have a very good view of Davao City.
