Basic Mountaineering Course + Mini Asik-Asik Falls, Davao City
As our yearly tradition for our Baby Errah's birthday, instead of having a bonggacious party, we instead travel. We let her be one with nature. We wanted to make sure that on an early age, she will see the beauty of it and experience how to be one with it.
On her 7th birthday, we let her joined a Basic Mountaineering Course at Sicao Village, Calinan, Davao City.

Though there are some lessons during the BMC that she cannot understand yet, we are happy as she was very proud after getting her BMC certificate.
During lunch, she also experienced a boodle fight and even asked why we ate that way. Hahaha!
Our initial itinerary after the BMC was the Pantok Falls; however, as per the guide, it has been 2-weeks since they haven't had rain in the area so there's no water at all streaming at Pantok falls. By then, we opt to visit instead the Mini Asik-Asik falls at Carmen, Baguio District - a neighboring barangay of Calinan, Davao City.
It was an easy trek at first as there were trails going to the falls so we let Errah walk through the downhills. It was by the river part that Wing piggybacks her since we cannot risk her very cute bones through the gushing waters.
And after almost an hour of walking downhills and river trekking, behold the Mini Asik-Asik Falls!
It was called Mini Asik-Asik Falls as it has a resemblance with the Asik-Asik falls at Alamada, Cotabato - it's just that, this one's smaller.
