Mt Loay, Sta Cruz, Davao del Sur
Never had I thought that one day we'll bring our baby Errah to one of our climbs. Though this isn't her first mountain, this will be the highest she'll be so far.
This isn't our first time at Mt Loay, too. In fact, this is already our 4th! We've been scaling this mountain with its different trails since last year. This time, we decided to bring Errah with us.
We started our hike around 1:30 PM. Yes, it was already very late for a day hike, but we're still blessed with good weather.
Errah is a fast walker - this is one thing we noticed ever since. My mother (her grandmother) was a runner and every time she will go to the market or to the church with Errah, she always prefer to walk. So that's also the reason why Errah doesn't feel tired immediately even with long walks.
Since we climbed on a weekend, we got the peak to ourselves. We arrived at the peak around 3:30 PM. We ate our foods and took some shots.
Oh, we got some company!
Oh, we got some company!
It's not easy to climb mountains with a kid - this one I can attest. Aside from the fact that there will really be times that they will got tired and get cranky, you will also need to carry them or piggyback on the trails.
We just hope Errah's love of the mountains will not fade. We pray and hope she won't get tired.
To our always baby Errah, to more travels with you.
Love, Mommy and Daddy.
