Got Inked By Whang-Od!
We got our first tattoo by the age of 30 from the oldest tattoo artist Apo Whang-od.
Still very lively even at age 103!
Instead of doing a Sagada tour after our Mt. Amuyao climb, we decided to visit the ever famous mambabatok of Buscalan.
No Guide, No Entry.
You will see the Buscalan Village from the Buscalan Information Center. From here, it will be roughly 20 - 30 minutes uphill hike to the village.
It was a Sunday when we visited the place. We were told that Apo WhangOd don't do tattoo on Sundays as it is her dayoff. We were kinda disappointed as we travel all the way from Davao to here just to see and have a tattoo with her.
But good heavens, WhangOd suddenly got her tools and decided to give us a tattoo!
WhangOd will only do her signature 3-dots tattoo. If you wish to have a traditional design tattoo, the whole village is full of tattoo artists. We got our traditional tattoos from some kids.

It has been an honor meeting and got de-virginized (hahaha) by the world-famous oldest tattoo artist Apo Whang-od.
